The Owners

Nicole Reinan

Nicole Reinan spent one night at Camp Ehawee as a Badgerland Girl Scout in 1985. There were bunk beds, campfires and that one song about making new friends but keeping the old. She’s been hooked on the outdoors ever since. And Nicole’s one of those global do-gooder types, improving Thailand sweat-shop conditions, helping farmers decontaminate water and gathering free baby clothing for low-income mothers. She appreciates a good glass of Aberlour Scotch, is a complete interior design junkie and although she can knit with the best of them, (like actual sweaters) she considers her children, Finley and Nash, her finest creation.

Jay Reinan

Jay Reinan grew up in Otter Tail County and is no stranger to lake living. He prefers to tell people he’s a mechanic, but like the original Xanadu owner, Jay practices law. As a trial lawyer (think Atticus Finch in To Kill a Mockingbird) Jay helps bring morals back to the mainstream by fighting for underserved populations like nursing home communities, mental health victims and people with disabilities. He is also a big-time Minnesota Twins baseball fan and classic car collector. While Jay claims to love his family, he admits that his most prized possession is a 1961 Ford Lincoln Continental convertible with suicide doors.
